How do I build an awesome team of volunteers that can help with the event?

Inviting inspiring speakers, awesome interviews, and cool sponsors all help towards making a great Startup Grind chapter. Having all of these run smoothly without volunteers or team members can get tough quickly!

Having a small team (1-2 other people) helping with on the day-to-day tasks makes running event a lot more manageable on a consistent monthly basis. By adding a few team members you can spread out the responsibilities and work more efficiently.

Our advice is to have 1-5 core team members, people that assist during the month, and at events. Then have a few volunteers. We find that volunteers come and go over time, but they can be anyone from students studying eventing, through to successful entrepreneurs wanting to give back to the community from time to time.
