How to create hybrid Event

Overview

A hybrid event is a blend of both virtual event experience and in-person event experience. A hybrid event allows attendees to attend entirely virtually, completely in-person, or both.

How to configure a hybrid event:

When you create an event, you must set the following:

  • Event venue - where the event will happen
  • Ticket venue - the tickets available for the event
  • Session venue: How attendees can access the session of a conference. The type of ticket will determine whether someone will attend a specific session. A hybrid ticket can allow access to virtual, in-person, and hybrid sessions, while virtual tickets for a hybrid event can only access virtual events.

NB:  Hybrid events must have location information and virtual event platform information.

Change of Event venue

The event venue can be changed before an event begins, thus allowing flexibility.

You cannot change a ticket type once a ticket is sold/registered. Therefore, if you change an event from hybrid to virtual or in-person, you need to contact anyone with hybrid ticket.

When you change the event venue, you must adjust the tickets.

The changes on the ticket include:

  • Hybrid Event to Virtual or In-person: Change the event to only one venue. Bevy automatically updates unsold tickets to the new ticket venue.
  • Virtual or In-person to Hybrid event: Adding options and ways to attend the event.
  • You need to add the new ticket options for the event.

NB: You may use schedule emails/newsletters to a selected group of event tickets holders.
