#Product+EngineeringMonth - Oct 2019

This year at Startup Grind we're focused on educating not just startup founders, but startup teams as well. We're thrilled to partner with Heroku for Product + Engineering month in October where we’ll be supporting the technical side of startup teams around the world. Heroku is a platform-as-a-service that enables developers to build, run and operate applications entirely in the cloud. Please join us by featuring a speaker in October that reflects this theme, e.g. a CTO or Head of Product or Engineering.

Art Assets are available, you simply go to your Google Slides Templates (make sure you are logged into your Startup Grind Email Account)

#StartupProgramOpportunity

Speaking of SG Conferences, here’s a great opportunity from the Startup Program team

Many of our Directors have asked if they can be formally linked to the Startup Program as a mentor/advisor or as a Director who has registered interest in helping startups looking to expand to their country.

We'd love to open such opportunities more widely to our community so we can find even more Directors interested in doing this. If this sounds like you, please fill out this form: https://airtable.com/shr8lO9XTCszaiPzk

#StartupProgram

Applications for Startup Program and Startup Delegations are open- accepted startups who mention a Director’s name in their application will receive a discount ($200), and you will receive flight credits for the Global Conference. Startup Delegations also receive discounts based on the delegation size! Do reach out to the Startup Team for more info, and thank you for all that you do for the #SGCoummunity!

#SocialMediaDeets

If you’ve created new SG social media accounts for your Chapter, please send us the username and password at ford@startupgrind.com. We will be requesting access to all of your Facebook pages over the coming months. Make sure to accept those requests as they come in. Need help? Read this article.

#LevelUp

This months #LevelUp Chapter comes courtesy of the Jacksonville team, led by Therese Gamble. Recently relaunched, the Jacksonville Chapter is taking marketing approaches beyond email newsletters and event updates. To advertise their summer party, the Jacksonville team shared a brief promotional video detailing the upcoming event. If you haven’t seen it on the director's Facebook page, check it out here. A short promotional video (even 30-60 seconds) could be a great way to engage your community beyond a plain text email. Try it out!
